The Opportunity
Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced Sales and Process leader to join our Governments & Environment market sector. The Process Improvement Leader will report to the Managing Director of Sales & Pursuits and lead across a broad area of geographies and business offerings. The role’s primarily focus is driving standard best practices within the Sales & Pursuits team and leading special projects to create effective connections with our internal and external clients. In this role, you will:
Partnerwith the department head to help drive continued success and development of team and practice.
Improve consistency, efficiency, and quality of service by identifying, capturing and implementing best practices that add value in all areas of sales and pursuits.
Work closely with the Sales & Pursuits team, business development leaders, and solutions and capabilities professionals to understand areas of need.
Apply thought leadership to prioritize, recommend, and drive winning strategies that contribute to the streamlining of new and existing processes.
The Team
Our Governments & Environment business sector provides innovative solutions for integrated planning, design, engineering, and construction support of critical infrastructure and facilities as well as resiliency and environmental services for clients worldwide. The Governments & Environment Sales & Pursuits team collaborates with business leaders and client-facing professionals to plan and execute strategies and develop pursuit and proposal materials with focused messaging and content.Our team provides expertise in pursuit strategy and proposal management. We help teams enhance Black & Veatch's position as an industry leader and deliver new business.

Key Responsibilities
Leadsinitiatives to improve uniformity in best practice for theGovernments & Environment sector pursuit support teams.
Identifies development areas for the department, creates and executes improvement plans.
Collaboratesacross the enterprise to ensure alignment with other areas of the business.
Developsand leading training activities to foster adoption of best practices.
AssistsGovernments & Environment leadership as needed with analysis, reporting, meeting planning, and internal presentations.
Assists in the development of short- and long-term targets for managing profitable growth.
Management Responsibilities
Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in Communications, Sales and Pursuits in the AECor related industries.
Experience collaboratingwith numerous stakeholders to arrive at consensus-based outcomes.
High level of expertise in proposal/content development, strategic pursuit planning, and underlying processes/tools.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires Bachelor's degree.
Requires 10+ years experience preferably in power generation, oil and gas, and renewable energy experience.
