SUMMARY

Responsible for building, supporting and maintaining SharePoint enterprise applications. Apply subject matter expertise to design solutions through a process including problem recognition, research, isolation and resolution steps in accordance to Microsoft SharePoint best practices. Diagnose and solve complex problems using own knowledge of integrated process. Maintain systems operations procedures, change control records and other required documentation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and support the existing SharePoint out of the box applications using Nintex forms and workflows.

  • Manage configuration, administration, upgrade and maintenance of SharePoint servers and related infrastructure

  • Maintain uninterrupted production systems and a 99.9% or greater up time

  • Manage Help Desk activity and performance to ensure quality, responsiveness, by prioritizing tickets and help staff identify, diagnose and resolve technical issues.

  • Use Powershell scripting to migrate content Database, manage and update site collections.

  • Remain on-call for emergencies as part of an escalation schedule

  • Implement SharePoint best practices across all the site collections and educate users to follow the SharePoint guidelines

  • Participate in meetings and provide technical assistance and interpretation to executive staff on issues affecting company-wide computer hardware, software, systems, and services

  • Provide SharePoint training to site owners and general users

  • Manage and monitor SharePoint Search, user-profile services, workflow services etc.

  • Advanced technical Microsoft experience with Active Directory, Group Policy and Domain Services

  • Make recommendations and prepare proof of concept for SharePoint Server upgrade to latest version

  • Managing and implement SharePoint/ O365 PowerApps, Power BI, Teams etc.

  • Monitor and support production server, high-availability environment and SQL Server clusters.

  • Build dashboards and implement Reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

  • Participate in meetings and provide technical assistance and interpretation to executive staff on issues affecting company-wide computer hardware, software, systems, and services

  • Assist in implementing disaster recovery efforts

  • Strong understanding of hardware, security, and configuration management.

  • Direct involvement with 24/7/365 production environments.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience required

  • 5+ years of hands on system engineering and development, networking or data center operation and support experience, preferably in a Corporate IT role.

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong leadership skills mixed with strong teamwork capability; flexibility.

  • Advanced troubleshooting, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

  • Work is in an office setting and generally sedentary with physical effort associated with using a computer, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

  • May be required to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 25 pounds.
