Position Summary

CVS Health is seeking an experienced professional with a demonstrated ability to correspond with multiple stakeholders: landlords, taxing jurisdictions, assessors, and third-party vendors to coordinate projects, support real property tax appeals for our retail locations throughout the United States as part of a high-performing in-person and virtual team.

As a Property Tax Consultant in the CVS Health Tax Department, you will report to the Senior Manager Property Tax. Your primary responsibility includes direct interaction with tax appeal vendors and various other corporate departments to ensure the timely supply of all data to providers as it relates to real property tax assessments from various taxing jurisdictions for the purpose of filing of real property tax appeals and tracking tax savings /appeal results.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party advisors.

  • Provide guidance to other corporate departments on various property tax issues including complex, commercial, and real, property tax RFI’s for portfolio of 12,000 properties throughout the United States.

  • Manage Due diligence request in relation to going concerns for Real Property.

  • Maintain industry specific expertise through IPT, group events, webinars, etc.

  • Research and analyze Real Property Tax matters and special projects.

  • Maintain Real Property Tax Appeal data and software, for parcels /assessments /appeals /tax savings/and invoicing.

  • Coordinates, facilitates, and track landlord mailings.

  • Identify additional appeal candidates and tax savings opportunity within assigned territory.

  • Year over Year analysis of Real property tax portfolio in preparation for appeal.

  • Identify variance to budget during year over year assessment analysis.

  • Monitor legislative changes across the real estate tax industry.

  • Gather project and construction cost detail in preparation for Real Property tax appeal framework.

  • Complete Interrogatories, Income/expense rent survey requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of real estate experience in a fast paced, deadline driven, results -oriented Property Tax department or similar working environment.

  • 1 or more years of MS Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently, accurately with a high attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and accurately, both verbally and written.

  • Working knowledge of Excel, Power Query, SQL, Access, Ariba, iTAM, OneSource, SAP S/4, Tririga, Analysis for Office, PowerBI, and Co-Star.

  • Experience in real property valuation or assessor background, or related equivalent experience.

  • Property tax appraisal valuation and or public assessing experience.

  • Self-Motivated

  • Previous experience with Real Estate Databases.

Education:

  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Science or Finance preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,888.00 - $93,574.80

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
