Position Summary

This position will assist in the coordination and maintenance of key enterprise Capital reporting processes, including the consolidation of monthly CAPEX actuals, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. The Sr Analyst will report directly to the Senior Manager of FP&A (Capital Planning) and will partner with business segment Capital planning leads to support and maintain a consistent and comprehensive process across the enterprise. The Sr Analyst will support and sustain the Anaplan Capital system used across the enterprise in relation to processes and technological enhancements. The Sr Analyst will also assist in the collection of CAPEX data and narratives for use in preparation for and presentation at internal and external events (including quarterly earnings, Investor Day, and Board meetings). The Sr Analyst will also lead the solicitation of input and feedback from Anaplan users to identify opportunities to refine and improve the capital planning system, in junction with the Anaplan COE department. This position requires understanding of financial IT platforms and connectivity to enterprise financial planning processes, as well as a strong collaborative work style to develop and foster partnership with critical constituents to achieve objectives.

Activities the position will participate in include:

  • Work across the Enterprise Planning & Performance Management team to provide accurate data and analysis in a timely fashion

  • Work with the EPPM Anaplan Center of Excellence to address capital system requirements, enhancements, and defects as needed

  • Establish and implement quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy of data prepared for and used to inform the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes

  • Document detailed processes to use as training materials, standard operating procedures, and resources with internal and external Capital planning partners

  • Collaborate with the Anaplan Center of Excellent to develop and refresh training materials for internal Enterprise Planning and Performance Management colleagues and external segment partners

  • Support ad-hoc projects, upon request, to assist Enterprise Planning and Performance Management colleagues in the execution of capital planning, reporting, and governance matters as needed.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Partner with EPPM Capital planning colleagues and business segment Capital leads to develop and maintain a consistent, comprehensive, and efficient planning submission process cross-enterprise (50% of time)

  2. Lead the solicitation of input and feedback from Anaplan users to identify opportunities to refine and improve the capital planning system, in junction with the Anaplan COE department (20% of time)

  3. Assist in the collection of relevant CAPEX data to support business partners for key internal and external executive-level meetings and events (20% of time)

  4. Document detailed processes to use as training materials, standard operating procedures, and resources with internal and external Capital planning partners (10% of time)

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional work experience with financial analysis involvement, including budgeting forecasting, and financial reporting

  • 3+ years Microsoft Excel experience (skillset using functions such as PIVOT tables, VLOOKUP, Filters, and Sumi(s))

  • Microsoft Office; Microsoft Teams environment; SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare, PBM, insurance industry helpful but not required

  • SAP/S4 and Anaplan Financial Reporting and Planning tools

  • Analytical skills and diligence

  • Knowledge of dashboard applications such as Tableau; QuickBase, Power BI (or other similar technologies) preferred but not required

Skilled In:

  • Developing comprehensive, yet easy to understand dashboards of financial and operational Capital planning metrics to facilitate achievement of capital priorities

Ability To:

  • Work collaboratively in a highly matrixed environment and build partnerships with key constituents of varying professional levels to gain input, feedback, understanding and/or buy-in on key processes, expectations and/or deliverables, while influencing business decisions through actionable business insights

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively

  • Ability to problem solve and manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in area of Finance or Accounting or Equivalent experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,700.00 - $107,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
