SUMMARY
The Logistics Analyst will function as a Material Integrator and provide direction and assistance to the Government’s Production Control and Material Management group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role the Logistics Analyst will work within the customer defined LMP/Material Management parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and execute scheduling activities for the assigned part numbers using LMP and associated systems
Identify and react to material plans that do not meet government Schedule requirements
Coordinate input on material shortages, farm out, and delivery of hardware
Monitor implementation of corrective action and recovery programs
Provide effective scheduling and implementation of all supported engine based components on the master schedule—review cycle times, shop capacity, hardware/tooling availability, and status to schedule
Monitor supply and demand misalignment using the LMP system, and collaborate with manufacturing source to implement corrective action
Work with government Material Management to develop hardware delivery commitments
Interface with customer material support and warehouse management to assure proper material DOF analysis and projected requirements are identified
Analyze data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve process levels, and reduce total cost
Maintains reports and performs administrative and technical duties that require knowledge of the department, facility, and the company along with current policies, practices and procedures.
Performs diversified duties including reports preparation, data collection, trend analysis, reconciliation reports, and business and process documentation.
Format and prepare material orders using both the LMP system and GE’s IFS system of inventory.
Help unload incoming inventory trucks. Stock inventory onto shelf locations.
Help pick inventory for shipment to customers or repair vendors.
Perform and track inventory cycle counts.
Research missing parts and report any discrepancies.
Operate a forklift.
Follow administrative processes within the site and makes recommendations to implement process improvements.
May work on confidential or sensitive information, typically of a technical or proprietary nature.
Establishes and maintains an appropriate filing system to retrieve needed materials efficiently.
Advises extraordinary or problematic cases to site manager and presents recommended resolutions.
Possesses thorough knowledge of site and Company policies and procedures.
Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the company, and the community; maintains professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
Confers with appropriate internal and external administrative offices to ensure that required procedures are followed.
Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations; verifies documents for completeness and compliance with government and private customers.
Performs individual assignments as site manager deems necessary; ensure adequate, continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality.
Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
Complies to all company, local, state, and federal EH&S and OSHA policies and regulations
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be a U.S. Person for ITAR compliance
Pass SF-85P Public Trust Investigation
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 2 years Aviation Logistics Experience preferred.
At least three years’ experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access mandatory.
Knowledge and experience with IFS and LMP preferred.
