Sodexo is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for an inpatient position at Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area, a 152-bed level II trauma center located in Corpus Christi, TX. The dietitian in this role will provide nutrition care to a variety of patients, including those on our level II ICU. Remote charting capabilities offered - this is not a fully remote position but does allow for generous flexibility with remote charting as needed. No weekends!

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the successful candidate will:

• provide inpatient coverage on a variety of units, including the ICU, all maternal floors and psychiatric unit

• be flexible, reliable and knowledgeable;

• serve as a respected member of the interdisciplinary team;

• act as a clinical educator, giving presentations to healthcare team members on a variety of nutrition topics as needed;

• be involved as a clinical instructor and preceptor for dietetic interns, new hires, and peers; and

• always project an image of professionalism.

• Registered Dietitian credential and three years of inpatient clinical experience;

• prior experience in nutrition support, CNSC strongly preferred not required

• excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups; and

• strong time management and organizational skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire

Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
