Talent Acquisition ConsultantWexner Medical CenterTalent Acquisition Consultant OpportunityThe Office of Human Resources seeks an experienced healthcare recruiter to perform full lifecycle recruitment of advanced practice providers for the Wexner Medical Center. The TA Consultant develops and implements strategic recruitment initiatives to find and attract various healthcare professionals, both clinical and non-clinical. Positions in the recruitment portfolio will include, but are not limited to: physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, CRNAs, anesthesia assistants, midwives, and other assigned credentialed provider positions.
The advanced practice (AP) structure at Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center is well-supported by strong leadership and continues to grow. AP reports through nursing and taking a consultative approach will allow the person in this position to become an integral part of this successful community. The TA Consultant understands current and projected needs of assigned departments and aligns recruitment strategies with business unit goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing around 40 requisitions at a time, leading to a total of 125-150 filled positions annually. This position requires a highly organized recruiter who is driven by a fast-paced environment and a sense of urgency to staff one of the leading healthcare systems in Ohio.
The talent acquisition team assigned to the Wexner Medical Center is cohesive, welcoming, friendly, supportive, and award-winning for its level of engagement. Solid understanding of the medical center operations and excellent relationships with hiring managers, key stakeholders and candidates are keys to success. This position is embedded within the Wexner Medical Center and reports to the Associate Director of Talent Acquisition. Through ongoing and regular collaboration with HR Connection (Ohio State’s HR service delivery center), HR Centers of Excellence, and Human Resources Business Partners, the TA Consultant helps ensure the delivery of distinguished recruitment services.
Main Performance Objectives: 0-3 Months: 1. Transition all advanced practice provider and pharmacist postings from current covering recruiters 2. Meet all hiring managers for APP positions 3. Meet Credentialing colleagues and gain an understanding of credentialing process 4. Learn the recruitment functionality and become proficient in Workday
3-6 Months: 1. Develop a working understanding of overall annual recruiting cycle for APP 2. Handle early recruiting cycle for APP Fellowship
6-12 Months: 1. Offer and onboard Summer 2021 APP fellows and new grad CRNAs 2. Develop relationships with all hiring leaders 3. Recommend novel recruitment strategies and plan budget for 2021-2022 cycle
The TA Consultant will demonstrate the ability to: • Deliver customer-oriented recruitment services with a focus on candidate experience. • Understand the strategies and goals of Advanced Practices and recommend innovative approaches to meet recruitment needs. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, peers, and networks. • Support a culture of diversity, equity, accessibility, inclusion, and social justice consistent with organizational values. • Remain agile in a rapidly changing, sometimes ambiguous environment. • Remain comfortable with high volume workload in a complex environment. • Understand and utilize Workday.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three years of talent acquisition experience. Demonstrated knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Healthcare recruitment experience. Licensed clinician recruitment experience. Experience working in a shared service model and leveraging centers of expertise. Proven ability to build productive working relationships with a wide variety of constituencies.
Target Salary: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00
