Summary of Duties:

The Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator assists the Supervisor Supply Chain Logistics for the Veterinary Medical System (VMS) which includes assisting in supply orders, receipt, storage and distribution of medical supplies, linen, and equipment. This position emphasis is on timely internal ordering and distribution of medical supplies to hospital departments and conveying departmental supply needs back to supervisor. The position assists in developing departmental supply par levels, maintains processes, policies, and workflows to ensure accurate and timely delivery of supplies and equipment to units throughout the VMS. The position will act as back up to the supervisor and subordinates during vacation and Ill periods. This position is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with vendors, business unit staff, Purchasing, and Strategic Sourcing. Day-to-day operations include timely distribution and ordering within the procurement system, receipt, supply pricing, distribution, storage, of supplies and equipment repairs. Assists in Managing equipment status, service contracts, and availability for patient use. Monitors JIT and storeroom ordering process and stocking of dispensing cabinets. Provides training on Supply Chain Logistics policies, processes and systems to department directors and contacts.

Assists in Recommendations and implements improvements to Supply Chain Logistics, processes, and procedures. Responds to inquiries and investigates and resolves problems and complaints from business units. Produces adhoc reports as requested. Provides back-up support for all other Storerooms/Warehouse operations. Assists in recommending departmental supply and equipment needs.

Other Job Requirements: Standing for long periods of time, Pushing/pulling/lifting up to 75 pounds, Exposure to animal dander and/or zoonotic diseases, Exposure to needle sticks, hazardous chemicals, and/or bio hazardous waste.

Required Qualifications:

High School Graduate or Equivalent; budgetary management experience.

Desired Qualifications:

3-5 years of inventory management, preferably a healthcare setting.

Target Salary: $20.53 - $21.64 Hourly
