Summary of Duties:
Under the direction of the Consortium Leadership Team, participates in the planning, implementation, and coordination of a national consortium and its activities related to the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Minority Leaders Program; serves as the primary point of contact for the AFRL program manager, the Consortium Leadership Team, the Core Operations Team, administrators of the member institutions, current and prospective faculty and students; provides general administrative duties and oversees the Core Operations Team; responds to program inquiries and drafts correspondence to prospective member institutions or faculty and students; coordinates the admission process for prospective member institutions, processes admission agreements; maintains records of funded projects and ensures all required programmatic elements are being performed; maintains records on the capabilities of member institutions in conjunction with the Consortium Leadership Team; coordinates with subcontractor executing the Summer Internship Program to ensure operations; organizes and participates in outreach activities to member institutions, including the Annual Roadshow trip, organizes and attends faculty/student-recruitment events, presents program information at events; oversees and may assist marketing and communications activities, including: assisting in preparation of articles and materials for publication, assisting the development and distribution of program marketing and recruitment materials, overseeing the ordering of promotional materials for recruitment activities, and contributing to the preparation of presentations for recruitment at local and national recruitment events; Assists in preparing budgets and monitors expenses; assists with program evaluation; develops, implements, and collects surveys, maintains records, assists in preparing progress reports; coordinates guest speaker visits, arranges travel and lodging, initiates eRequests for goods and services, initiates eTravel requests for trips; collaborates with other administrative support professionals to ensure all time critical administrative needs are met; coordinates with other OSU Centers to leverage existing work (Battelle Center, STEAM Factory, etc.); performs other duties and works on special projects as assigned; occasional travel will be required approximately 5-10 days of out-of-state travel per year and 5-10 day trips to Dayton, OH; this is a six year grant-funded position with the possibility of additional funding.

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience (minimum of 2-5 years) in program planning and administration; ability to work autonomously with little direction; excellent written and oral communication skills; successful completion of a criminal background check.
Management and/or administrative experience; event planning experience; financial/Budgeting experience; experience with University procurement and contracting processes; technical knowledge of engineering.
Target Salary: $70,000.00 - $88,800.00 Annually
