Job Description:

As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to medical equipment users and managing medical equipment maintenance, calibration, and service. You will provide technical support to medical equipment users and troubleshooting to determine the cause of the problem and record results as well as identify changes in test methods or equipment as needed for medical equipment testing. This also includes routine sensitivity, selectivity, and accurate measurements of medical equipment while maintaining and calibrating medical equipment to industry standards. Your responsibilities will also include preventative maintenance on assigned medical equipment, safety inspections, and initiating necessary services. Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:

  • At least 2 years customer service, call center, hospitality and/or technical support work experience

  • At least 3 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:

  • Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience

  • Certified Biomedical Engineering Technologist (BMET) - AAMI Credentials Institute (ACI)

  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) - AAMI Credentials Institute (ACI)

  • Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) - AAMI Credentials Institute (ACI)


  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
