LSEG Associate Business Consultant in Colombo, Sri Lanka

Role Responsibilities

In addition to expertise in requirements elicitation, scope management and familiarity agile methodologies the candidate is expected to play the following role.

  • Handle a main functional area for large change programs independently.

  • Conducting product walkthroughs and requirements elicitation at client sites. Should be able to handle very dynamic scope/changing requirements.

  • Should have end-to-end knowledge on the market structure, standards and regulations relevant for the financial markets domain.

  • Validate requirements against market/industry standards and best practices and propose changes to client requirements

  • Conduct end-to-end trainings and demos to prospective or existing clients.

  • Manage a sprint backlog aligned with milestone plan and business priorities.

  • Monitor project progress and highlight cost/schedule overruns upfront.

  • Formulate and execute sea-trials for the product.


  • Ability to effectively delegate work across the team(s)

  • Take initiative to assist leads to ensure successful delivery

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or any other engineering field or Finance, Economics and Business degree with an inclination towards FinTech/Technology.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in IT Business Analysis, product owner roles

  • CISI L2 completed or CFA L1 completed

  • Should have had exposure to all project phases; initial requirements gathering, build, go-live, post-go-live support.
