Responsibilities:

• Coordinates Quality Management and Performance Improvement activities with all departments providing patient care.

• Interprets regulations to identify elements of patient care to be monitored and the monitoring criteria; and to establish systems and processes to ensure compliance with agency requirements.

• Collects and aggregates data for evaluation by clinical department. Follows up to ensure correction of identified problems.

• Educates and evaluates clinical and support department staff regarding quality management regulations and standards of care.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business, Engineering or related field required.

• Clinical experience preferred.

• CPHQ certification is a plus.

Certifications:

• Current valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license is preferred.

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) preferred

• Counseling Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Social Work (LISW) Licensed Independent Social Worker preferred.

Complexity of Work:

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

• Three years of patient care experience required.

• Three years of experience in Quality Improvement preferred

• Six years of recent clinical experience would offset Bachelor requirement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong Organizational Skillset

• MS Office Suite Experience - Basic to Intermediate skillset with Excel and Power Point

• Clinical experience in Digestive Disease

Physical Requirements:

• Requires extensive sitting and dexterity to perform work on a PC.

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

• Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.

• Excellent hand/eye coordination.

• Lift up to 25 pounds.

• Manual dexterity to operate personal computers and standard office machines. Requirement 2

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
