Vital Proteins is looking to hire a driven Associate Brand Manager (ABM) for the Vital Protein brand. This individual is a key contributor to the overall brand team, responsible for leading cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and analysis of various business initiatives. The ABM role will have P&L responsibility and development of strategic business and marketing plans to achieve corporate and brand volume, profit, and share objectives. The role will work out of our West Loop (Chicago, IL) office and be reporting to the Associate Director of Brand Management.
What you will be responsible for:
Develop business objectives and marketing plans for assigned brand/categories, reflecting overall corporate goals
Seamlessly execute marketing plans to deliver against brand, financial, and share objectives
Monitor performance measurements to ensure the brand is tracking against goals - recommends and implements corrective actions
Analyze data to identify insights and translate into business initiatives and/or actionable tasks to drive results
Lead/participate in the development and execution of marketing strategies including brand positioning and communication strategies.
Lead/participate in development and execution of product and packaging innovation plans including concept development, validation, product and packaging R&D, communication strategy, and tracking of in-market performance
Work hand-in-hand with the sales organization to understand and integrate customer strategies in business and brand plans.
Who you are:
Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred
2-4 years of experience preferred in brand marketing
Prior CPG preferred
Interpersonal communication skills, written and verbal communication, organizational skills, project management skills must all be strong
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage cross-functional projects and processes with multiple stakeholders
Must have attention to detail and possess critical thinking skills
Advanced analytical tools (e.g. IRI/ Nielsen) experience
Self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced and environment
Strong time management and organization skills; able to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Must be able to read write and understand English
