Ingersoll Rand is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable CAD/CAE Application Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of ANSYS HPC, Autodesk CAD Vault, CAD/CAE applications and support users. This role will work closely with extended IT teams to ensure that our design and engineering tools are optimized for performance and are aligned with our project needs and workflows. The candidate will be based in India and support users during India/US working hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installation, configuration, fine-tuning, and troubleshooting Linux HPC servers.

  • Installation, configuration, and support of CAD/CAE applications in Client systems.

  • Administers, maintains, and evaluates CAD/CAE and other Engineering design applications and related system management and maintenance.

  • Support and Administration of HPC cluster, CAD Data vaults, PLM-CAD integrations and provide functional support for CAD data migrations.

  • Maintain license servers, monitor license availability, generate license utilization report, analyze and optimize license requirement.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves system problems, incidents/requests, ensure SLA adherence and improve user experience and satisfaction.

  • Works proactively to identify root cause and recommends/ implements preventative solutions.

  • Collaborate with software vendors, extended IT teams to resolve technical issues.

  • Evaluate and validate new software releases and upgrade user systems. Identifies and analyzes system and user needs, as well as hardware requirements

  • Create system and user documentation, including best practices, policies and procedures.

  • Adheres to global IT standards, policies and procedures and coordinate related activities with global IT teams.

Qualifcations:

Bachelor’s in mechanical / computer science engineering or other related Engineering discipline.

Experience: 5 to 8 years of overall experience in Engineering CAD/CAE Application administration and end user support in a global product design environment.

3+ years’ experience in ANSYS Linux HPC administration and configurations.

2+ years’ experience in Autodesk CAD vault system Administration.

2+ years’ CAD/CAE user support will be an added advantage.

Strong scripting skills (Bash, Perl, or Python) and an ability to program is an advantage.

Knowledge and experience with building, configuration, and administration of Linux

Excellent knowledge of networking and cluster-based distributed computing. Cluster provisioning, systems management, resource management middleware.

Excellent working experience in maintaining major CAE applications such as ANSYS, Converge, Cadence Numeca , MSC One, Altair Hyper works

Excellent working experience in FlexLM License Manager Configurations, Windows/ Linux OS

WORK SHIFT: Flexibility to work on Day and Night shifts. (Position will rotate shifts monthly)
