Are you a nursing student about to complete your RN education program or a recent graduate with less than six months of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!  

We are seeking full-time New Grad RNs for our CMC Oncology 3 Units:

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center Oncology Units:

4B - BMT/Cellular Therapy/Hematology Oncology  is a 16-bed adult bone marrow and cellular therapy unit. The unit cares for patients with hematologic malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, etc.) undergoing bone marrow/stem cell transplants, CAR-T Cell and other investigational therapies for these malignancies. The team prides itself on inclusivity, teamwork, and exemplary patient care.  

4 Tower - Hematology Oncology Unit and ICU we are a 30-bed unit composed of 22 medical-surgical type beds and 8 ICU ready beds.  We care for patients with Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Multiple Myeloma, anywhere from initial diagnosis, through an array of chemotherapy treatments, remission or potentially end of life.  The nurses and staff are able to build relationships with our patients as some staff for upwards of 40 days and others repeat chemotherapy treatments numerous times over the course of subsequent months.  The culture is welcoming, compassionate, and eager to teach our new staff members and the patients/family members.

3T Adult Medical/Surgical Oncology is a 36-bed solid tumor oncology unit. We focus on the medical and surgical needs of our oncology population, in addition, many of our patients receive chemotherapy and radiation treatments. It is a great unit for new graduate nurses as you see a wide variety of diagnoses and oncology complications, including postoperative care, central lines, drains, telemetry, and end of life care.

Job Summary   

The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.  

Physical Requirements   

Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English in good, understandable terms. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.   

  

Education, Experience and Certifications.   

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred. Current Basic Life Support required per policy guidelines. Current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner in the state in which you work and reside or; if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in your home state; or for Non-National License Compact states, current RN license or temporary license as a Registered Nurse Petitioner required in the state where the RN works.
