Wells Fargo WIM Account Opening and Maintenance Product Testing Team Manager in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Manager as part of the Account Opening and Maintenance (AOM) Product Group within Wealth and Investment Management (WIM). The primary goals of this Product team are to deliver innovative account opening and maintenance solutions that best serve our clients, financial advisors, and home office team members.

The Business Execution Manager will oversee and deliver all Business Testing for technology delivered by the WIM AOM Product; this includes User Acceptance Testing (UAT), end to end testing, and regression testing. They will lead a team of onshore and offshore testers. Goals of this team include leveraging a standards-based testing model that optimizes quality, reduces risk, and improves business and IT alignment. This leader must be a forward thinking, capable, and committed testing manager with a proven ability to meet agreed deadlines; understand, communicate, and coordinate testing work; and define testing standards and methodologies within a structured environment. A qualified candidate must be able to focus on any task at hand and be able to come up with practical solutions to testing challenges. This role requires first class leadership, negotiation and communication skills and should be capable of providing authoritative guidance and advice to partners.

Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for ensuring that all business testing needs are understood and delivered. The role involves quality, test advocacy, resource planning, management and resolution of issues that impede the test effort. Candidates should have a business focus, but also have an understanding of testing from multiple perspectives such as system, role based security, technical environments, usability, and performance. This includes:

  • Guiding the business and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), end to end, and regression testing

  • Ability to communicate and liaise with multiple stakeholders including Product Owners, Developers, and Scrum Masters

  • Partnering with Product Owners to ensure effective use of methodologies and communicate test strategies, test progress and results, issues, and other relevant information to product stakeholders

  • Defining the strategy and negotiating the ongoing purpose of test deliverables

  • Ensuring the appropriate planning and management of the test resources

  • Assessing the progress and effectiveness of the test team

  • Documenting, implementing, monitoring, and enforcing all processes for testing as per standards defined by the product and WIM

  • Acting as an escalation point for testing issues and working with product leadership to resolve

  • Management of UAT Test Team

  • Defect triaging and prioritization including optimizing fix approach and retesting

As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.

  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 2+ years Leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading a large group of testers, ideally user acceptance testers, located in multiple sites

  • Experience in test schedule development and preparation/review of test reports

  • Knowledge and understanding of product life cycle development and implementation

  • Proficient at managing multiple large efforts simultaneously, in an environment with ambiguity

  • High degree of initiative and autonomy and must be able to function successfully as part of a team

  • Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change

  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior-level leaders; demonstrated ability to bridge communication gaps between technical, product, and business partners.

  • Ability to manage process improvement initiatives to optimize operational effectiveness and efficiencies

  • Outstanding problems solving, organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • 5+ years working in/with financial services partners on product strategy/product development; to include industry knowledge and experience working with Wells Fargo Wealth and Investment Management

  • Experience with client onboarding processes/solutions

  • Experience with Jira

  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
