The Opportunity The Principal - Field Operations will be responsible for leading in the continued build-out of project and incident reporting and data analysis across Ally's Field Operations team. This individual will be required to develop an understanding of the processes/systems utilized within IT Operations and implement reporting / perform data analysis to facilitate risk identification and aid in transparent communication. Using this data, this role will work to present information for both departmental and executive leadership monitoring in a re-performable/automated fashion. The Work Itself * Development, management, and preparation of IT project, IT request, and IT incident matrix and associated materials * Provide insight into risk landscape across Field Operations through development of analytic routines * Automation of current reporting routines * Development of data governance and quality routines * Lead the creation and delivery of new analysis and reporting for Field Operations functions. * Create and deliver analysis and reporting that enables an integrated, holistic view of Field Operations. The Skills You Bring * 5+ years of Information Technology experience preferred * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant field of study preferred * Master's degree preferred * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint mandatory, Access and PowerBI) and automation of processes within these tools * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * TSM tool experience is preferred (e.g., ServiceNow,etc...) * Knowledge of Python scripting for analytics is desired * Must be able to develop effective relationships across multi-function technical teams * Must be self-motivated, willing to take on initiative, and capable of working independently * Ability to independently problem solve in scenarios where a precedent does not exist * Ability to multi-task, handle competing priorities and follow through on commitments How We’ll Have Your Back Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
