The Opportunity Position will work in close collaboration and partnership with sourcing leadership and Ally’s business units and enterprise functions to deliver forward-looking, proactive, and best in industry results in transformative sourcing, category strategies and supplier risk management practices related to supplier diversity. Responsible for working with business units to manage and control scope related to professional services sourcing requirements and projects. Develops and nurtures close partnerships and relationships with Ally’s primary lines of business and leadership teams to develop progressive and high impact supply chain strategies that support, advance, and propel key business goals and strategies related to supplier diversity. Communicates and executes all strategic sourcing programs while continuously looking for ways to improve business relationships and operational performance through robust KPI and operational management techniques. Candidate will also ensure complete, accurate and proactive management of all supplier diversity contract inventories, P2P system/project updates, data quality metrics, service levels, and sourcing events inclusion of diversity. The Work Itself * Position reports to the Ally Supply Chain Director of Supplier Diversity * Assists in the development and implementation of Ally's Supplier Diversity program. * Acts as the project lead for developing a communication and engagement plan for Ally’s Supplier Diversity Program – both internal and external facing. * Acts as a liaison with internal Business Line Partners as it relates to the Supplier Diversity Program. * Updates and tracks Supplier Diversity partnerships within the Financial Social and Inclusion group. * Works collaboratively with the Director of Supplier Diversity to define and implement programs and processes to execute the supplier diversity strategy by compiling statistical data and preparing annual and quarterly reports. * Helps in supporting various Supplier Diversity Program activities with diverse suppliers, chambers, associations, advocacy groups and councils in support of program outreach efforts. * Develops and leads Supply Chain/Supplier Diversity external facing website, including content, maintenance, and updates. * Assists in identifying, compiling, analyzing, tracking, reporting and leading prime and second tier spend results to include gathering data from relevant internal and external resources. i.e. Second Tier vendor performance for input data into the ConnXus tool platform for quarterly report submissions. * Responsible for communication related to reporting deadlines and all supplier diversity activity with suppliers required to report diversity spend. * Assists in Leading council relationships and communication with external facing partners regarding the Supplier Diversity program. * Works closely with Ally’s Public Relations team on all public communication for the Supplier Diversity program. * Analyzes processes, identifies improvements opportunities, and recommends best organizational change approach. * Assists in the creation and maintenance of Supplier Diversity status roadmaps. * Aids in expanding the boundaries of the working relationship with Ally’s clients and the affiliated support organizations. * Works collaboratively with others to ensure staff and vendors are in compliance with Ally's Supplier Diversity policies and procedures. * Leads communication regarding quarterly Spotlights and annual Supplier Diversity Symposium * Works in conjunction with the Director of Supplier Diversity and ASC senior leadership in the research, identification and implementation of KPIs for process improvement within the Supplier Diversity program across Supply Chain. * Assists in preparing materials for Supplier Diversity presentation materials. * Help create communications for new programs such as Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability program for suppliers. * Assist in the management of diverse spend for all category strategies within the Sourcing organization. * Additional duties as business needs arise. * Work with business partners to maximize compliance for the supplier diversity program related to developing preferred engagement procedures, buying channels, supplier contracts and related programs. * Identify and implement consistent and continuous process, policy and performance improvement programs across all areas of responsibility for supplier diversity * Create and maintain an environment of openness, performance and risk management that encourages innovation, integrity and collaboration. The Skills You Bring * Bachelor’s degree desired, with 3+ years of experience in business and communications * Minimum 3+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: writing, communications, marketing, strategic sourcing, supplier diversity, and other relevant procurement management experience preferably within the financial services industry. * Executive writing skills desired with experience being responsible for external and internal communications across a company or business. * Confirmed ability to provide content on websites, and external written communication required. * Proficiency in computer applications, specifically strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and PowerPoint) skills. * Experience analyzing data and developing executive level reports as well as data visualizations * Must possess very strong persuasion and individual communication skills * Comfortable working in an evolving and dynamic business environment with ability to seamlessly multi-task * Demonstrated ability to lead projects consistently and effectively across multiple parties while delivering creative and industry-leading results * Demonstrated agility, disposition and ability to handle very difficult situations with clients and/or vendor negotiations * Ability to organize data and exercise highly effective problem-solving skills. Ability to build very strong relationships with internal and external business partners in a collaborative and team-oriented manner.
