Atrium Health Supervisor - Systems Engineer in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Summary

Manages the daily work activities of systems engineers as well as long-term strategic planning to ensure system capacity meets current and future requirements; development and implementation of methodologies for system analysis, installation and support.

Essential Functions

  • Evaluates existing policies and procedures and recommends any area that needs to be addressed with improvements. Provides the plan for improvements to be discussed in team meeting.

  • Develops and updates associated documentation in accordance with established standards.

  • Guarantees efficient and effective completion of assignments in accordance with standard and analytical procedures.

  • Coordinates user/staff training as directed.

  • Directs and supervises support staff in the development and maintenance of information systems.

  • Conducts annual reviews and other routine HR and payroll administration.

  • Conducts counseling and task evaluation for subordinates.

  • Informs immediate supervisor of any abnormal circumstances related to performance of job duties in a timely and accurate fashion.

  • Provides status reporting as requested to immediate supervisor.

Physical Requirements

Environment is subject to high-level visibility through exposure to administration. Job duties will require high degree of proficiency in verbal and written communications. Must be available for callback support on a regular basis. Due to schedules, extensive evening and weekend hours may be required at times for conversions, training, etc. Each employee has the responsibility to work in a safe manner. Must be able to lift objects that weigh up to 35 pounds.

Education, Experience and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. 8 years experience installing/supporting information systems in healthcare environment.
