Enterprise Shared Services

Enterprise Shared Services (ESS), part of Enterprise Finance, provides strategic guidance and streamlined support to meet increasing demands facing Wells Fargo’s businesses. ESS provides a strong, scalable and more unified model to deliver shared services to the enterprise. ESS is responsible for Enterprise Global Services (EGS) - Delivery, Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, Enterprise Transformation Services, Corporate Properties and Corporate Security, Operational Resiliency, and the Legal Entity Office, ESS Governance, ESS Strategy and Front Line Risk Management.

ESS Governance is currently seeking a candidate to join the ESS Third Party Governance Team. Working closely with the ESS Strategy, EGS-Delivery teams, and Enterprise Third Party Risk Management, Enterprise Supply Chain Management, and Wells Fargo businesses. This role will be part of the centralized team responsible for creating and optimizing the processes used to manage the ESS managed third parties from the evaluation and due diligence on third party selection, working with the necessary Wells Fargo functions for contracting, ongoing third party management and governance, SLA management and third party negotiations.

The Position

As a Strategic Planning Manager, you will lead the global delivery activity team that governs the third party relationships with delivery centers and process supporting the operations, knowledge services, consulting and technology services portfolio.

In addition to leading the team, you will use your business acumen to lead the framing and analysis of strategic problems, your project management skills to design and deliver project outcomes, and your communication skills to present strategy recommendations to leadership and partners across the company. Reporting to the Head of Third Party Governance, you will be expected to:

  • Create original thought leadership content by proactively governing the third party portfolio, focus on creating a process centric model and risk management culture

  • Work closely with line of business and cross-functional leadership to formulate long-term strategic priorities related to global third party services and delivery strategy

  • Lead the design and delivery of complex, enterprise-wide projects by partnering with stakeholders and team members and leveraging firm-wide resources

  • Hire, develop and lead a team of business initiative consultants, building their skills and relationship and risk acumen for the benefit of delivering comprehensive and relevant work product for the Enterprise.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage LOB Third Party relationships including platform management team responsible for the Global Delivery Activity (GDA) third party portfolio. The team governs the third parties to Wells Fargo’s Third Party Policy and Procedures, Global Delivery Activity policy, non-US standards, information security policies and Enterprise policies and protocols

  • Facilitate TPG’s third-party governance and manage processes and controls for a portfolio of third party relationships

  • Accountable for TPG’s third party global portfolio including location strategy, transitions, capacity, service offerings, relationship and enhanced governance activities Proactively identify risks to the Third Party Platform and create mitigation plans working with stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders on new initiatives, transitions and projects

  • Develop and manage effective activity reporting and provide transparency to the third parties activities

  • Develop metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of projects, processes, programs, services and initiatives

  • Proactive communication, in both written and verbal formats, with all levels of internal and external stakeholders

  • Partner effectively across time zones and cultures to manage complex issues

  • Support costs saving and resource utilization; design and implement efficiencies into processes and controls

  • Monitor potential business and political trends to determine potential business impact

  • Travel both domestically and internationally as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

  • 7+ years of strategic planning experience

  • 3+ years of management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • SharePoint experience

  • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment

  • Ability to strategically analyze data and diagnose opportunities and interventions

  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals

  • A BA/BS degree or higher in business or finance

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
