Ally Sr. UX Designer in Charlotte, North Carolina

This role will be aligned to the Ally Invest line of business. The Work Itself Scope of accountability for UX Designer may include—but is not limited to—interface design for storefront and authenticated areas of ally.com and its affiliated sites & digital applications (e.g., smartphone/tablet apps); assisting in the production and maintenance of enterprise design style guides * Partner with digital product and business to establish clear problem statements and measures of success * Partner with CX and Usability team to define comprehensive customer journeys for target client persona and conduct research and testing * Collaborate with content strategists to design solutions for mobile app * Create user flows, wireframes, design comps, and prototypes that exhibit a mastery of user-centered design practices for iOS and Android * Demonstrate a bold vision for excellence in interactive mobile app design with a commitment to evolving our customer and client experience * Work with developers to determine feasibility and performance considerations * Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design rationale and facilitate partnerships with digital product and business owners * Must be highly innovative and inspire commitment to a higher standard * Solutions oriented with the ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing requirements and conditions * Partner across related disciplines including usability, content strategy, accessibility, and web development to meet the established business objectives of this engagement. The Skills You Bring * 3+ years of experience as a UX Designer at an agency, retail or financial services institution * 1-2 years experience in investment services preferred * 1-2 years experience mobile app design for iOS and Android * Proficient in information architecture, interaction design, and visual design * Experience creating end-to-end customer journeys, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes * Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Sketch, Axure and InVision preferred * Experience in an e-commerce, media, or start-up environment with short interval release cycles is a plus * Best-practices knowledge of WC3 and other web design standards * Excellent understanding of usability/user centered design, UX methodology, interactive design principles and best practices, web accessibility, and corporate branding * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Solutions oriented with the ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing requirements and conditions * Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Ally Overview Ally Financial Inc.
