Cargill Senior Project Engineering Supervisor (Relocation Provided) in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Project Engineering Supervisor will supervise and execute the overall technical engineering and design of build projects that are operationally efficient. In this role, you will lead a team that executes routine complex activities with a focus on the conceptual, basic and detailed engineering design over a project lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop engineering design packages and build deliverables in compliance with regulatory codes, area standards and specific technology needs.

  • Collaborate with regional domain leads for domain specific expertise support in build projects.

  • Select, lead and direct the external service providers to support project objectives.

  • Oversee the development of the site capital plan and track progress against the plan throughout the year.

  • Review status of projects and budgets, coordinate schedules and prepare status reports.

  • Coordinate input from area disciplines and subject matter authorities to ensure the design meets the specific needs of the business.

  • Support the development of front-end project design for large capital projects.

  • Partner with regional leadership to identify work process enhancements.

  • Standardize engineering work processes for the site based on regional practices.

  • Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

  • Minimum of three years' experience leading capital build projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of supervisory experience

  • Experience leading third party resources to deliver business results

  • Knowledge of environmental health and safety standards and international standards and codes related to build projects and construction safety

  • Knowledge in food industry, such as oil refining or packaging technologies/operations
