The IT Auditor Manager primarily serves as Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) and main point of contact for the business through Audit engagements. This role will lead and execute complex technology audit engagements throughout the audit lifecycle.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage assurance audit engagements and cultivate partnership relationships with stakeholders

  • Manages day to day engagement-related efforts and assignments of Audit team members with varying degrees of expertise and experience when conducting engagements as the Auditor-in-Charge (AIC)

  • Executes and oversees field work testing. Ensures audit documentation is complete and accurate, including key risks and controls alignment to audit test objectives and conclusions and assigning appropriate issue severity.

  • Leads continuous monitoring and advisory activities.

  • Develops and updates risk profiles

  • Coaches and develops junior team members

  • Lead stakeholder and team meetings.

  • Ensures an open and positive work environment to promote honest and balanced discussions on technology risk.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Technology and/or Audit certification/license (must have or be willing to attain CISA within 12 months of hire)

  • 5 years total audit or IT risk experience

  • 2 years IT audit management experience

  • Established MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on technology experience

  • Big-4 Audit Firm experience

  • Insurance, Financial Services, or Banking experience

  • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven track record regarding ability to build positive working relationships

  • Effective project management skills; must be able to manage multiple engagements concurrently

  • Experience in data analytics

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, strong interest in learning, effective under pressure

  • Flexible and effective as business conditions change

Skills:

Auditing: Knowledge of the organization's internal audit processes, practices and methods; ability to perform audits to ensure organizational compliance.

Client Relationship Management: Knowledge of client relationship; ability to address issues critical issues to meet client needs and maintain engaged, partnering relationship with business partners and clients.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Establishing and Maintaining Trust: Knowledge of developing and maintaining trust; ability to develop trusting relationships and provide solicited, respected and valued perspectives to clients/peers that guide thinking, facilitate issue

IT Audit and Control: Knowledge of audit and control policies and practices; ability to use tools, controls, techniques, established principles and standards to ascertain the quality, effectiveness, security and accuracy of information systems.
