TIAA Senior Business Systems Analyst in Charlotte, North Carolina
The Senior Business Systems Analyst analyzes business and information needs in order to design optimal systems solutions. Working under minimal supervision, this job designs system solutions that are appropriate for business needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. This job also recommends improvements to the existing IT systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Identifies and analyzes business needs, conducts requirement gathering, and defines scope and objectives of each project.
Makes recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.
Translates business requirements into application requirements, and works with all members of the team to execute the application successfully.
Engages client teams and explains moderately complex initiatives in an understandable manner, while also addressing any hesitations or concerns from the client.
Estimates the costs of various system solutions and prepares project plans to provide input into decisions about prioritizing projects and allocating IT resources.
Prepares and maintains technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.

TIAA has an opportunity for a Sr. IT Business Systems Analyst who will provide support to our Global Infrastructure Services organization. This position will need to understand the Infrastructure products and services and how theyâre consumed by the Application development teams and the lines of business.Â
The ideal candidate should have experience working with various stakeholders to understand operational and transactional issues, gather data, perform analyses and demonstrate experience and creativity in helping to provide insights and data visualization of infrastructure core platforms. In addition, possess demonstrated business analysis experience combined with IT expertise.Â This position will be located in our Charlotte, NC office.
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Perform analyses with Infrastructure products and services to understand the capabilities to solve business problems.Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Understand and learn business processes, problems, and opportunities.Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Determine system efficiency and functionality by liaising with internal Infrastructure teams and Application Development partners.Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Analyze consumption of infrastructure products and services and providing leadership with metrics and data visualizationÂ Â Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Develop predictive analysis models for senior leadership to make decisions and set direction.Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Conduct business process analyses to identify key business issues, gaps and needsÂ
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Identify and address operational, financial and technological risks within the project portfolioÂ
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Recognize gaps between current situation and desired outcome and utilize appropriate resources to obtain information, consider options, document recommendations and partner with development and infrastructure teams to deliver appropriate solutionsÂ
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Gain extensive understanding of business processes and applications architecture to serve as a valuable resource for understanding what should be captured to ensure high quality requirementsÂ
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Work seamlessly with Project Manager, Scrum Master, Scrum teamÂ and other stakeholders
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Establish success criteria and ensures delivery of business valueÂ
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Effectively engage and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and Infrastructure products and servicesÂ
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Develop Tableau dashboards to produce real time data reportingÂ
Â Required: Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Minimum of three (3) yearsâ experience as a Business Analyst or a similar position; one who has gathered requirements, performed analyzes, provided evaluations/ben documented processes and made presentations to various stakeholders utilizing visualization data
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Minimum of three (3) yearsâ experience developing analytics at all levels ( i.e. Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive & Prescriptive)Â
Â Preferred: Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Quantitative AnalysisÂ
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Familiarity with infrastructure systems products and services.Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Ability to facilitate discovery sessions with infrastructure services teams.Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Exceptional communication skills, bridging the gap between technical and business nomenclature.Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Minimum of two (2) yearsâ experience working with technology delivery teamsÂ
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Â
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Tableau experience and certificationÂ
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Power BI experienceÂ
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Experience developing analytic models and actionable metricsÂ
Â·Â Â Â Â Â Â Experience working in a financial services industryÂ

Potential Salary: $102,000.00 USD
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.Â In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).Â
