Wells Fargo is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill a Senior Business Accountability Specialist role in the Digital Technology & Innovation Office of the CIO (OCIO) within the Technology Governance and Control (TGC) group. TGC is responsible for ensuring our applications, systems, middle-ware components, and development environments meet Wells Fargo technology risk controls and policies.
This role will be responsible for supporting the activities of at least one of the TGC programs which include Policy Exception and Risk Treatment, Information Management, Information Security, Audit Coordination, Policy Adherence, Application Lifecycle Management and Control Governance. The successful candidate will develop Subject Matter Expertise in their assigned areas, share process and standards knowledge with engineering teams, track remediation activities to completion to ensure compliance with policy and standards compliance, and ensure applicable documentation is current.

In this role, you will:
Support complex initiatives with broad impact which are designed to mitigate current and emerging business risk issues and concerns; act as key participant in cross-functional planning for the business.
Assist in building effective risk oversight routines, including effective status reporting for operational risk for the organization.
Assist in assessing, analyzing, and designing complex and multi-faceted controls, protocols, and approaches with respect to risk mitigation and the control environment, including ensuring effective planning for sustainability, ongoing control adherence, reporting, measurement, technology impacts, and monitoring
Strategically collaborate and consult with the program lead, peers, engineering teams, business control partners and technology management to address current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance or support in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
Negotiate timelines and implementation expectations within DTI, risk management and in some cases, vendor environments for dynamic, high availability applications and services comprised of complex configurations
Plan and hold meetings, prepare and present updates, and interact with all areas and roles within DTI and its’ technology partners to review progress towards goals and meet deliverable timelines
Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of Information Technology or Technology Program Management experience with an emphasis on Risk mitigation and remediation
Desired Qualifications:
2+ yearsof experience with Technology Application Development; preferably on an Agile Scrum team
Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as policies, control standards, risk management concepts, and information security
Advanced Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Application Lifecycle Management
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to support many high priority, high complexity, and high-risk efforts with quick timelines simultaneously
Ability to consult, build, and maintain solid working relationships within team and across DTI engineering teams
Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
JIRA expertise preferred
Job Expectations:
Ability to work onsite in one of the listed locations at least three times per week in a hybrid model

For NC locations only: $84,000 - $149,400 USD Annual
