Atrium Health Project Manager II - IAS in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Summary

Oversees the direction, coordination, implementation, control, and completion of medium to large (scope and budget) projects, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments and goals of the organization. Maintains and controls all aspects of projects simultaneously, overseeing and coordinating all activities designed to complete the project on time and within budget. Serves as the internal team lead and primary contact for each assigned project.

Essential Functions

  • Creates project plans and implements projects.

  • Helps define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  • Defines tasks and required resources.

  • Organizes, manages, supports and directs project team.

  • Creates and maintains budgets.

  • Creates schedules and project timelines and manages project resources.

  • Leads quality assurance.

  • Monitors and reports on project progress and tracks deliverables; communicates problems and solutions.

  • Implements and manages change when necessary to meet project outputs.

  • Manages and conducts project close out activities; evaluates and assesses results of project.

  • Builds and fosters internal relationships.

Physical Requirements

Works in a safe manner. Work requires frequent moving from one area to another, coordinating, and communicating with persons in various disciplines and agencies.

Education, Experience and Certifications

Bachelor's Degree required. 3 years of relevant project management experience required including theoretical and practical knowledge of project management techniques and tools required. Budgeting and accounting experience required. Demonstrates use of effective communication skills, both written and verbal required. Advanced skills with computers and Microsoft applications including Excel required. Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management required Conflict resolution experience required.
