The team serves as a Level 2 production support with escalations from teams such as: Customer Service, Distribution, Implementation and Underwriting. The team provides support to all Employee Benefits systems including: quoting, underwriting, enrollment, client web portal experience, billing, sales CRM tool and reporting.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Understand the life cycle of an Employee Benefits group/client from pre-sale prospect to inforce to renewal/terminated status

  • Understand the systems utilized, interfaces and dependencies of each system on the Employee Benefits platform

  • Work from a queue of requests proactively without waiting for assigned work

  • Analyze a request and properly determine severity/priority of resolution required

  • Use critical thinking skills to determine root cause of issue and provide a resolution plan or escalation to IT partner teams

  • Coordinate resolution efforts with IT partner teams and/or system subject matter experts (SME)

  • Contribute to resolution by providing thoughtful and innovate ideas

  • Provide status updates in a timely manner proactively or when requested

  • Complete requests that are aligned to a specific service level agreement (SLA)

  • Participate in team meetings and trainings as requested

The base salary range for this position is $46,000 - $60,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience

  • Strong skills with Microsoft product suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams)

  • Strong SQL knowledge or willingness to learn SQL

  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical personnel, both written and verbal

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment

  • Possess a high level of productivity, reliability, proactiveness, attendance and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Employee Benefits experience a plus

  • Help Desk experience a plus

  • Experience using agile methodology a plus

Skills

Business Analytics: Knowledge of technologies, techniques and practices for the evaluation of business performance data; ability to analyze business performance using advanced statistical methods to predict trends and providing forecasts that drive business decisions and business planning.

Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.

Data Integrity: Knowledge of objectives, terminologies, and approaches of data integrity; ability to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data in various business environments.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
