About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Business Execution Consultant within the Corporate Risk Regulatory Execution team in the Health Check Team. The Health Check team works with issue owners and accountable executives to ensure action plans are designed for success, reviews ongoing execution of selected issues, help issue owners be more successful, and drives greater discipline around key deliverables. In addition to supporting issue owners and accountable executives, the team will help identify thematic issues across the company; leverage best practices to improve execution against prioritized deliverables; and foster appropriate proactive escalation, executive awareness, and integrated reporting. This role will work across the regulatory portfolio, Regulatory Relations, Control Executive teams, line of business issue owners, Independent Risk Management, and Internal Audit. The role will be responsible for having a strong understanding of the current and evolving regulatory environment to be able to advise on closure readiness, identifying gaps or recommendations to demonstrate success, collaborate across many areas in the Bank, and the ability to do deep analysis and provide strong written and verbal communication.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a top subject matter professional for Business Execution who leads highly complex, large, and cross organizational strategic initiatives with companywide impact.

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant challenges across multiple lines of business.

  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large scale, broad reaching.

  • Plan and manage strategic initiatives, using solid analytical skills, extensive knowledge of Business Execution, and understanding of international business.

  • Provide vision, leadership, and industry knowledge regarding highly complex cross organizational strategic initiatives that significantly influence the company's business.

  • Strategically lead all levels of professionals and managers across multiple lines of business and support groups.

  • Evaluate effectiveness and provide updates to key enterprise stakeholders, leadership, and executive leadership regarding the root cause, cost or benefit, and risk evaluations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years' experience as a banking regulator and/or at a large financial institution, Big 4 Public Accounting or advisory or law firm leading regulatory affairs and/or exam management activities.

  • Experience in disciplines such as: risk management, control management, Compliance, audit, or operational risk.

  • Strong writing skills, especially the ability to communicate complex topics to a senior management/C-suite audience.

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently across lines of defense and senior levels of the firm to address pressing issues.

  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory landscape and experience working directly with regulators.

  • Proven ability to challenge the business/functions and to escalate issues appropriately.

  • Effective at building internal and external relationships with proven success collaborating with partners across the organization.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
