Ally Operational Risk Manager - Scenario Analysis Program in Charlotte, North Carolina

Position Description The manager will manage the Operational Risk Scenario Analysis Program for Ally. In addition, this individual will also oversee the adherence to the Enterprise Operational Risk Loss Management Standard and the Operational Risk Management Framework. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills and be capable of providing direction and effectively collaborate with Independent Risk Management (IRM), Business Lines (BL), and Data Sources to implement and maintain sound risk management practices. Job Responsibilities * Lead Scenario Analysis processes and routines to drive ongoing oversight and enforcement of standards across the enterprise to enable a strong risk management culture. * Manage the end-to-end Scenario Analysis exercise execution for risk assessment and quantification of operational losses. * Manage the Enterprise Capital Plan Stress Test submission for the Operational Risk Management group. * Implement policy, framework, standards, and procedures for the Enterprise Operational Risk Scenario Analysis Program. * Provide expertise in Scenario Analysis improvement initiatives (Loss data assessment, Archer enhancements, methodology/modeling approaches for Operational Loss forecasting for stress testing, etc.). * Lead the External Loss Event reporting and oversight process for the Operational Loss and Scenario Analysis team. * Lead external research and benchmarking to enhance, update and maintain sound Operational Risk Scenario Analysis practices aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. * Provide guidance and subject matter expertise/training to all Program stakeholders, as required, in support of compliance with Scenario Analysis Program, including integration with other operational risk framework components. * Ensure all processes, standards, and procedures are kept current, consistent with documentation, reviewed periodically for compliance, and assessed against the business need and risk appetite framework. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred * 5+ years of relevant experience in Risk Management within the financial services industry; a background in Operational Losses, Loss Forecasting/Modeling, or Scenario Analysis is preferred. * Strong influencing and communication skills and ability to provide advice/direction to all levels of employees and management. * Strong leadership and managerial skills (detail-oriented, deadline-driven, self-directed, organized, etc.) with a proven track record of increasing responsibilities within the organization. * Working knowledge of risk management components (e.g., policy/procedures, governance, reporting, risk control self-assessments, issue management) in a regulated environment. * Demonstrated ability to design, implement and manage non-structured processes and routines. * Must be self-motivated, willing to take on initiative, capable of working independently, and manage through ambiguity to produce results * Expert proficiency with Microsoft products (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.,).
