Ally Mortgage Program Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

Position Description The Mortgage Program Manager role is responsible for overseeing the development of programs that support Ally Home’s objectives. Job Responsibilities * Acts as Servant Leader and Trusted Advisor to the organization by helping others to develop and optimize performance. Concentrates on planning, day-to-day coaching and providing a framework within which teams can flourish and achieve the vision. Demonstrates respect for other people’s perspectives, involves them in decisions where appropriate and builds a sense of community. Anticipates and manages issues through influence and negotiation. * Facilitates the Strategic Prioritization Forum (SPF) routine which is responsible for the oversight of Ally Home technology projects related to defect remediation, regulatory changes and violations and new enhancements. SPF delivers timely and consistent communication regarding active technology project statuses and maintains a transparent line of sight into backlog inventory. Drives business line prioritization and alignment of goals to the strategic objectives of the business. Responsible for meeting agendas, meeting materials and outcome notes. * Leads SPF Intake which reviews and challenges new Ally-only and Ally + Better (A+B) technology enhancement requests through a formal intake process. Responsible for meeting agendas, meeting materials and outcome notes. Maintains JIRA records for project/program tracking purposes. * Facilitates the Ally-Internal Issue or Compliance Initiated SPF Vetting routine which delivers a consistent forum for compliance and risk partners to review potential issues with Ally Home leadership. Responsible for meeting agendas and documenting meeting outcomes. * Manages change control by being responsible for the implementation of “pre-go live” formal vetting solution for all changes to ensure that the decision not to go through a formal governance process is properly vetted. Maintains governance artifacts related to the process. * Key contributor to A+B partnership. Ensures forward momentum by taking responsibility for recurring Monday.com meeting agendas which address diverse needs and perspectives, drive accountability, identify and remove obstacles and deliver results. Develops A+B presentation slides in support of partnership meeting routines, as necessary. * Ally Home steward for Monday.com A+B collaboration tool. Delivers training, as needed, facilitates system access and conducts quarterly review of Ally users. * Establishes and maintains strong relationships with Ally Home Business Lines and support teams (Compliance, FARB, Legal, Credit Risk,) * Resolves issues across project teams, individual project stakeholders and sponsors using effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Brings authority and influence to the team; leverages lessons learned from past experiences to drive continuous process improvement. * May support Ally Home Holistic Roadmap quarterly review by assisting with the compilation of input from Ally leadership, governance, technology, marketing and digital. Helps the organization to maintain focus on essentialism and line of sight into commitments made. * May be assigned project management responsibilities, as needed, for complex projects supporting critical business initiatives. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree preferred * 7-10 years experience or equivalent in combination of mortgage experience and one or more of the following: program management, implementation, or strategic planning * Thorough knowledge of the mortgage industry including originations, servicing, and compliance * Ability to thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding each project * Experience influencing/managing teams, including senior leadership, matrix partners, and 3rd party vendor resources * Ability to build relationships and lasting alliances, develop consensus and resolve issues * Demonstrated professional maturity and courage * Ability to communicate effectively across multi-partner environment, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders * Ability to deliver concise, time critical information to all levels of management, technology and business teams Ally Overview Ally Financial Inc.
