The Opportunity The Marketing Analytics Manager is a newly created position within the Ally marketing team reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing Analytics. As Ally continues our Digital Transformation, we are placing a critical focus on expanding our world-class, data-driven marketing team. This role will play a critical part in helping to integrate digital marketing channel data, understand conversion behaviors, build out KPI measurement, and attribution at an enterprise level across all business lines. The Work Itself * Develop subject matter expertise in the incoming data for digital acquisition data warehouse: ad server, social media, search, etc. * Participate in the development of KPIs to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Ally digital marketing spend * Work closely with various data owners across business lines to create a fluid ecosystem of business and marketing metrics updated at the speed of now. * Build reporting dashboards leveraging PowerBI/Tableau or similar data visualization provider. * Develop insights and trends by hands-on data analysis. Always asking the question of “How to make performance stronger”. Will work with cross-functional teams to advise on measurement (LOB Leads; channels like Social, Content, Paid Search) * Collaborate closely with site personalization teams to evolve marketing metrics to full journey level reporting by audience segments , offers, and creative * Work with media agency to evolve additional models like Media Mix Models to account for additional business dynamics and improve accuracy * Prepare and present executive level reports showing marketing performance and trends over time, across all channels. The Skills You Bring Type of prior related experience: * 5+ years experience in advanced analytics, marketing metrics, statistics with comfort in query languages like SQL. * Clear understanding of conversion funnel metrics, analytics and levers for marketing success * Bachelors degree in Analytics/Statistics, Marketing or other related field * Experience in digital marketing at a marketing agency or client-side marketing team Special skills/abilities/competencies required: * Strong analytical ability * Proven ability to solve problems with data and improve business outcomes * Familiarity and understanding of paid media metrics (social/search/display/etc.) * Experience working across multiple teams to get the job done * Excellent verbal and written communications skills * Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of an organization * Project and team management * Self-starter with inquisitive nature * Creative Problem Solver How We’ll Have Your Back Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
