Wells Fargo Market & Counterparty Risk Specialist in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

Wells Fargo is seeking Market Risk Specialists to join Market & Counterparty Risk Management teams.

You will support development and gain a strong understanding of market risk exposures and regulatory requirements for CCAR FR Y-14Q, reviewing & validating trading exposures for this schedule. You will develop scenarios for a broad range of trading products and liaise with risk managers to ensure capture of risks across complex traded securities, derivative products, commodities, etc. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of traded products, regulatory CCAR/14Q deliverables, CVA, proven ability to work across business specialists and technology, good analytical acumen, and strong written and oral skills. In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain project plan for CCAR regulatory schedule and scenario design

  • Provide support towards completion of regulatory reports

  • Develop and maintain stresses for traded products

  • Perform regular analysis and provide oversight over the changes in stress results.

  • Develop and manage relationships with multiple business partners across lines of business, risk oversight officers, internal audit, technology, and risk analytics groups

  • Understand relevant business, regulatory, and risk requirements pertaining to market risk stress testing and participate in ongoing audit, and regulatory exams

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of market risk, Capital Markets, desk analyst, trading, interest rate risk or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and deliver in a dynamic and complex environment

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Understanding of trading products across multiple asset classes as well as market and counterparty risk management concepts

  • Advanced MS Office skills (i.e. excel, VBA, pivot tables, XLOOKUPS)

  • Working knowledge of systems, grasp over SQL and programming languages (i.e. basic python)

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative discipline (i.e. statistics or mathematics)

  • Knowledge and understanding of CCAR/DFAST stress testing and FR Y-14Q requirements

  • Experience working with regulators and internal audit teams
