The Life Protection Solutions Team Product Manager will champion initiatives that support the growth strategy of Equitable’s Life business, by developing and continuously innovating Life insurance new business product-based solutions with a primary objective of Protection. The Life Protection Solutions Team will oversee Equitable’s Term portfolio, VUL Legacy, Survivorship VUL and the Long-Term Care Services Rider. The Product Manager’s focus will be to design and support implementation of solutions that can increase sales of traditional Life Financial Professionals, as well as ideate solutions that work in new markets. Core activities include assessing Life and other financial markets to implementation feasibility with solutions that balance policy owner and shareholder value. Develop business cases, obtain approval, and build pipeline of innovative solutions.
The Product Manager will be a critical part of New Ways Of Working (NWOW) at Equitable, working closely with the Team Lead and internal partners using an Agile methodology / NWOW principles. The Product Manager proactively supports the Team’s goals by utilizing a test-and-learn approach that entails MVP delivery, innovation, frequent engagement with customers and stakeholders, and continuous iteration
Key Job Responsibilities
Contribute to the strategic development and implementation Life Protection Solutions initiatives and products.
Connect with Distribution partners to identify client needs from a product and process perspective.
Conduct competitive analysis, develop new products and program, and enhance features of existing products.
Work with internal and external business partners (including home office and field sales management) to assist with coordinating product operations support, sales promotions and training activities.

The base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $127,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
5 years experience in the Financial Services or Insurance industry
Experience Life-related products
Capable of maintaining close attention to details while contributing to multiple initiatives
Interested in collaborating with other teams using an “Agile” framework
Comfortable communicating and gathering feedback from stakeholders that range from end-users to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or business-related graduate degree
Experience operating in an Agile environment
