Wells Fargo Lead Strategic Investment Specialist in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Strategic Investment Specialist within the Strategic Captial group.
In this role, you will:
Identify new private capital opportunities for both our direct investing business as well as third party capital advisory engagements
Lead development of investor evaluation materials for capital advisory assignments and manage investor outreach process logistics
Develop financial models related to assigned new opportunities
Complete due diligence requests, legal entity work, execution/closing processes, and other activities to prepare transactions for closing
Identify risk and reward in investment opportunities
Participate in the evaluation and ongoing monitoring of investments as part of a deal team
Develop network contacts to help drive opportunities for business development
Mentor and train less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Strategic Investment Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
5+ years work experience in one or a combination of: leveraged finance, capital markets, private capital, private equity, investment banking coverage or equivalent experience
Familiarity with evaluating and executing transactions related to both the private and traditional institutional markets
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong integrity, work ethic, and a team player. High level of initiative and accountability
Ability to work independently or in teams and thrive in a fast paced, loosely-structured, entrepreneurial environment

Registration FINRA Series 63 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
