Wells Fargo Lead Data Management Analyst in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Management Analyst for the Commercial Lending Data Product (iHub) within the Commercial Banking and Lending Domain. This position will partner closely with Product Owners/ Leads from multiple product areas and will be responsible for analysis of datasets, data mapping, and data validation within iHub ADS and provide the highest level of consultancy by translating this information into tangible requirements to be delivered within the iHub ADS (Authorized Data Source) aligning to the Commercial Banking data strategy and data priorities.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform complex analysis of datasets, data mapping, and data validation to gather facts and provide the highest level of consultancy by translating this information into tangible requirements to be implemented in the iHub ADS (Authorized Data Source) that aligns to the enterprise data strategy and enables Commercial Banking data priorities.

  • Drive LOB priorities to deliver multiple complex large-scale projects and partnering with multiple stakeholders including Technology, Risk, Finance and compliance, etc. This role delivery includes requirements, analysis, research, coding, data quality, execution and coordination (business/technology teams), stakeholder communication, and deployment.

  • Provides leadership to other consultants and analysts in the integration/implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary

  • Lead complex strategic initiatives, including those that are cross-functional with broad impact, and act as key participant in large-scale planning driving data enablement and capabilities across platforms and utilities

  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of data, analytics, and integration needs of line of business partners to inform prioritization, roadmap, and architecture design, that influence and lead broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to ensure data product solutions are built for optimal performance and design analytics applications across multiple platforms, resolve data product issues, and achieve goals; may lead projects, teams or serve as a peer mentor

  • Provide strategic input on new use case intake, prioritization, product roadmap definition, and other critical business processes

  • Manage complex datasets continuously focusing on the consumers of the data and their business needs, while adhering to set data governance

  • Serve as a strategic liaison between data management, product teams, data engineering, and architecture teams throughout the data product life cycle

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Data management, , Data Governance, Data Quality or Data analysis experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Commercial banking experience

  • 3+ years of SQL experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of database querying and creating ad hoc reporting results using SQL or similar querying methods

  • Knowledge and understanding of Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) Financial Service Data Foundation (FSDF)

  • Experience using business knowledge and critical thinking skills to deliver upstream and downstream project impacts

  • Ability to drive the requirements process with both technical and business partners

  • Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner

  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial banking: products, platforms, policies, processes, and procedures

  • Techno-functional skills with exposure to various banking products

  • Logical thinker and problem solver. Takes analytical, creative approach to problem solving.

  • Positive, people oriented, and energetic attitude.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with Finance, Risk, Regulatory, and remote team members
