Job Summary

Lactation Consultant: IBCLC Required.

  • Schedule: PRN. N o set schedule or guaranteed hours. Weekend availability required and will be working alongside team to fill in staffing needs. This will be discussed more in an interview.

Responsibilities

Provides breastfeeding/lactation guidance to patients, families, staff, and community in delivering education, information and training that responds to individualized needs in accordance with the current policies and procedures. Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, preferred. Bachelor's degree, preferred. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in mother/baby care or breast feeding education, required.

  • Licensure/Certification:

  • Current IBCLC certification, required.

  • Current RN licensure in appropriate state, preferred.

  • Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Excellent customer service skills.
