An Enterprise-Data Steward-Consultant II will be responsible for participating in governance practices and strategies within their own Area of Responsibility (AOR). They will help execute on these strategies and actively support the governing of data for their AOR in collaboration with AOR –Operational Risk Experts (ORE), BISO – Business Information Security Officer, Enterprise Data Management and ATSV partners for improved data governance processes and improved data architecture on governed data sources. This person should work to establish themselves as an Ivantage subject matter expert on data provisioning and governance strategies to enable trusted, actionable data in support of data and analytic strategies and goals.
Collaborate with internal and external partners in data provisioning and governance strategies
Participate in ensuring that critical data & metadata within AOR meets the Ivantage and enterprise data standards and principles with appropriate security
Support the implementation of processes to maintain high quality data assets
Participate in strategically enabling the right data to conduct analysis, inform decisions and deliver result
Support functional/technical strategy in data governance by leveraging enterpirse and AOR tools/capabilities to ensure data is consistent, accurate, available and accessible
Participate in translating technical concepts to business implications/capabilities to drive alignment and decision making
Manage work through a cohesive plan or agile process that outlines objectives, timelines, risks, and deliverables enabling the movement of the most important work forward
Proactively communicate risks, issues and status to leadership
Participate in solving problems to ensure task completion by establishing priorities and resolving conflicts with team members and functional mangers
Oversee execution and ensure accuracy and timeliness in all team owned deliverables
This job has supervisory duties.
Education and Experience:
2 or more years of related experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Ability to inspire trust and influence up
Uses sound decision making capabilities including problem solving approaches, decision frameworks
Strong aptitude to understand Allstate systems and data.
Aptitude for data management, attention to details, data flow skills
Possesses quantitative and analytical skills
Manage multiple priorities given aggressive timelines
Strong time management skills
Intermediate presentation skills; dynamically (persuasively) presenting ideas to management
- Compensation range for this position is $56,000- 76,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
