Equitable’s Individual Life Inforce Optimization team is seeking a strategic minded, highly motivated, organized self-starter for an Inforce Life Product Manager role. Associate will collaborate cross-functionally with other areas of the Individual Life Business to provide subject matter expertise and help monitor and manage the inforce life business.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Subject Matter Expert for all inforce life products

  • Work closely with multiple areas including Life Ops, Distribution, Sales Desk, Customer Service, Advisors, IT, Legal, and outside business partners such as Alliance Bernstein for product information and value calculations

  • Articulate, maintain, and document product designs and contract language for processing and regulatory requirements

  • Oversee processing and timely testing of projects, product updates, NGE changes, and mortgage items: communicate, recommend, track, prioritize, implement

  • Work closely with advisors of large policy blocks, communicating large money flows and providing book of business information to advisors

  • Provide guidance on product exception requests

  • Provide manual calculations for business partners and clients as needed

  • Annually review and monitor Life Inforce Prospectuses and Illustrations for compliance

  • Near Issue Sales Tracking (NIST) for Independent Channel and Retail

  • Identify and oversee corrections of any discrepancies between admin system processing and actuarial specs

  • Maintain electronic product information and physical storage files in Filebridge with third party vendor Access

The base salary range for this position is $ 87,000 - $100,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10 years life insurance industry experience

  • Exceptional mathematical problem-solving ability

  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis

  • Ability to interact closely with all levels of the organization and act as a liaison between key business areas

  • Highly effective communication, organizational skills, time management and the ability to manage competing priorities in a demanding environment

  • Able to address complex tasks and requests and think creatively

  • Ability to keep current on industry/market trends

  • Field experience and/or strong knowledge of the sales process, and distribution models

  • Solid knowledge of the regulatory environment for the life insurance industry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Equitable Inforce Life Insurance products

  • Knowledge of Equitable proprietary systems, AWD, nbA, CMOD, ECP, eDox, TAI, OBI, AEGIS, SalesForce, ADR, ESP, MainFrame

  • CFP/CLU/LOMA or equivalent industry designation

  • Experience working with Advanced Markets

  • Knowledge of Investments / Stock Market

  • Working knowledge of databases, SQL and/or Hadoop
