Design, development, delivery, and enhancement of software products, systems and platforms.

Responsibilities for the Hadoop Developer are below:

  • Expertise in analyzing data through out each project phase and provide relevant outputs and results from the data quality procedures, including any ongoing procedures that will run after project end.

  • Determined, committed and hardworking individual with strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Proficient knowledge and hands on experience in writing shell scripts in Linux.

  • Experience in production deployment and support process.

  • Strong working experience in extracting, wrangling, ingestion, processing, storing, querying and analyzing structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.

  • Developed highly scalable Spark applications using Spark Core, Data frames, Spark-SQL and Spark Streaming API's in Scala.

Skills required to ensure your success include:

Agile Methodologies : Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.

Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.

Documentation Architecture and Design: Knowledge of documentation architecture and design; ability to build efficient processes, use appropriate tools and technique , and create complete documentation portfolios for software or technology products.

Software Development: Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.

System and Technology Integration: Knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.

Qualifications

Additional Qualifications:

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Technology is required.

  • 5 years of extensive hands on experience as Hadoop Developer and Big Data analyst.

  • In depth understanding and usage of Hadoop Architecture frameworks and worked extensively on components such as HDFS, Pig, Hive, SQL, Sqoop, Python Scripting, UDF development and map Reduce concepts.

  • Experience working with Cloudera (CDH/CDP) Hadoop distributions in Azure environment.
