The Opportunity This person will contribute in-depth technical knowledge to lead the design of platform core systems development. This role combines strong technical architecture expertise, a solid understanding of core business functions, and a broad knowledge of hardware/software products/platforms to deliver and maintain application solutions to meet business needs. Provides enterprise leadership in the development and implementation of technology solutions and standards. Leads the enterprise in identifying, developing, and managing architectural patterns and key objectives that help drive strategy and resiliency for lines of business, application development, and other IT projects. In this role the person will have to gain a detailed understanding of all major related technology initiatives as they relate to products and use this information to lead development projects as well as design the target state enterprise architecture and key architecture patterns needed to support platforms, systems and applications. This individual will be working with a variety of external groups in a rapidly growing environment so excellent communication skills and quick learning abilities are a must. Additionally, this person should be well versed on emerging technology trends and be able to utilize this knowledge to lead the business unit architecture teams in exploiting these trends. This is an enterprise leadership position and the candidate should have proven experience of leading senior technologist across an enterprise. Experience with leading enterprise architecture and platform implementations is a must. The Work Itself * Capable of leading Enterprise and Program level efforts at scale, managing directly and indirectly organizational approaches to technology changes * Responsible for ensuring technical leaders across, operations, infrastructure, and engineering teams have accurately architected systems to achieve long lasting success. * Leads senior technologists outside of their domain * Ensures business units are practicing excellent architecture hygiene through technology assessments, technology strategy reviews, internal consulting and developing enterprise patterns. * Develops metrics and scorecards to influence the technology teams on industry best practices for cloud development * Directs Solutions Architecture and Engineering teams in defining platform and technology strategy and roadmaps * Works with key partners and teams to refine technology and application architectures * Provides technical expertise and advice to technology teams * Represents the infrastructure organization to LoB teams that will help define future direction around Private and Public Cloud designs and usage The Skills You Bring * Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or related science or relevant experience * Preferable Certifications: Amazon, Microsoft, or comparable experience * 7+ Years working within financial industry * Familiarity with Public Cloud Architectures such as AWS, Azure, Google * Understands and can lead best practices around large-scale implementation concepts of critical components in infrastructure * Engineering and architecting enterprise grade solutions for hardware and Software issues. * Strong working knowledge of resiliency engineering/architecture and how to apply to cloud implementations. * Experience leading critical cloud projects through completion * Proven ability to motivate and organize senior technical leaders through an enterprise How We'll Have Your Back Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
