  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree required. Bachelor’s degree is early childhood education, social work or a related human services field. Graduate Degree preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum two years professional experience in early intervention, early childhood development, social work or related human services field required. Neonatal experience preferred.

  • Additional skills required: Strong organization, problem-solving and critical thinking skills necessary to modify education according to patient(s) age and family’s educational level. Strong written and communication skills; Must be able to prioritize in a changing environment. Ability to interact with individuals of all cultures and levels of authority. Requires ability to maintain confidentiality. Must possess initiative, understand medical terminology and proper handling of reports and forms. Basic knowledge of the emotional and medical issues inherent in a pediatric setting. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed.

  • Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred): Strong knowledge of medical conditions which pose greater risks for developmental delay and treatment options. Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the Early Intervention Program and Part C of the IDEA law.
