The role of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Associate is to assist the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) team in performing a broad range of programmatic and project management related duties that require independent decision making, discretion and judgement. The role will perform tasks and logistical duties for company-wide DEI initiatives and programs. Additionally, this role will assist with diversity reporting including information collection and organization for special projects, presentations and company messaging/communications.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee employee resource groups and provide key direction to group owners based on the direction of broader D&I initiatives.

  • Own and manage key company diversity certification surveys (DEI, HRC, McKinsey Women in the Workplace Study, Diversity Best Practices)

  • Independently leverage diversity, equity and inclusion data and metrics to inform our approach, communicate priorities and measure progress

  • Maintain focus on regulatory/policy change, and local advocacy

  • Work with DE&I Advocate Forum business leaders on designing and communicating diversity, equity & inclusion programs specific to internal teams and goals, that align with overall company strategies

  • Liaise with Equitable’s CEO Taskforce to Advance Racial Equity and implement new complementary DEI and HR policies and practices.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience working in a corporate environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in diversity, equity and inclusion, talent management, advocacy efforts, and/or other related fields

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and influencing skills

  • Detail orientated and analytical

  • Strong data analytics and Excel skills

  • Experience with agile methodology and driving organizational change

  • Ability to confidently interact with all levels of an organization

  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple complex, time-sensitive projects with multiple stakeholders
