Wells Fargo DISP Solution Engineering Sr Manager in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineering Senior Manager with strong experience producing exceptional results to highly complex, enterprise-wide challenges relating to datacenter and cloud migrations at scale.

This role will improve our datacenter exits and cloud migration velocity with a customer first mindset. In this position, the candidate will focus on leading Principal and Senior solution engineers resolving technical migration challenges for applications, enhancing the DevOps model for migrations as well as improving operational performance and readiness with a proven track record for problem solving.

The Digital Infrastructure Strategy Program (DISP) is a multi-year technology transformation program run by an internal Program Management Office. It comprises a broad matrix of leaders, partner groups, functions, and vendors that work together to execute on our Cloud and Digital Infrastructure Strategies. The transformation includes the building of new datacenters and public cloud environments, exiting all existing datacenters, and the migration of all apps to new datacenters or public cloud. DISP PMO is the group charged with governing the executing of the Digital Infrastructure Strategy Program, in partnership with broad matrix of leaders, partner groups, functions, and vendors.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of experienced principal and senior engineers with high complexity and risk, responsible for partnering with all CIO teams to ensure the successful move of all applications to new datacenters or public cloud

  • Lead the team that acts as an advisor to technology-wide leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups.

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking.

  • Partner with, engage and influence architects and experienced engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies, while understanding next generation domain architecture and enable application migration paths to target architecture; for example cloud readiness, application modernization, data strategy

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks

  • Interpret, develop and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology with moderate complexity, as well as identify, manage and mitigate technology and enterprise risk

  • Collaborate with, partner with and influence Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction, influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap, promote innovative and intelligent solutions, generate corporate value and articulate technical strategy while being a solid advocate of agile and DevOps practices

  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in technology engineering

  • Hire, build and guide a culture of talent development to have the skills required to effectively design and deliver innovative solutions for product areas and products to meet business objectives and strategy, as well as conduct performance management for engineers and managers

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 3+ years of Management experience

  • 3+ years of experience with datacenter migrations and/or cloud migrations

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading and partnering cross-functionally with other technical teams (i.e. data ingestion, infrastructure, operational systems) to align priorities and achieve deliverable outcomes

  • Experience leading the strategy and resolution of complex and significant challenges across multiple workstreams (application migration planning and execution, datacenter build, datacenter exit, cloud enablement)

  • Excellent communications skills (oral and written)

  • Excellent ability to lead through influence

  • Highly adaptable and flexible

  • Experience working directly with executive leadership

Job Expectations:

  • The role offers a hybrid in-office work schedule

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
