U.S. Bank Corporate Treasury is seeking an experienced professional to lead a best-in-class FR 2052a reporting team. This position will be responsible for the oversight, enhancement, and maintenance of the FR 2052a data and reporting process. The role will partner closely with Liquidity Risk Management, 2nd and 3rd Lines of Defense, Treasury, and Finance to ensure accurate reporting, appropriate data governance, and proper regulatory interpretation of the FR 2052a. Additionally, the position will manage communication with regulators and participate in pertinent regulatory exams.
The ideal candidate will have in depth knowledge of FR 2052a reporting, be a driving force behind transformative process advancement, and an active collaborator toward strategic planning in the broader data management, consumption, and use space.
Expand, develop, and lead a high performing organization responsible for the generation, reconciliation, submission, and process enrichment relative to FR 2052a
Communicate with stakeholders regarding developments in the FR 2052a space
Construct, deploy, and maintain process controls, including change management to meet future regulatory requirements
Lead the integration of FR 2052a data and reporting processes with the broader External Reporting environment
10+ years of banking, risk management, regulatory reporting, or other relevant work experience
7+ years of management experience
3+ years of experience with FR 2052a reporting
Working knowledge of Liquidity regulation, specifically LCR, NSFR, and ILST
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA or CFA preferred)
Ability to interpret complex bank regulation and apply it to the Bank’s business model.
Ability to think strategically and influence change in the data and regulatory reporting space
Deep understanding of the Bank’s balance sheet and underlying customers
Experience with implementing tools for analyzing and governing large data sets
Demonstrated success within large-scale cross functional initiatives
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate across all stakeholders, including senior leadership, regulators, and 2nd and 3rd lines of defense
Proven analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
Knowledge of the Axiom regulatory reporting system
Strong technical skills, particularly with tools such as SQL, Excel, and Tableau
