We are looking for a highly motivated Director of OEM/MSP Business Development to join us and support the US East and Federal segment. This role is responsible for supporting Elastic’s efforts to build an elite ecosystem of Commercial Use partners who are highly strategic to the company’s long-term goals.
The Director of Business Development will recruit, enable, and support a network of OEM and MSP partners that will drive the sale of customer-facing, royalty-bearing solutions that embed Elastic. We want energetic, innovative, and results-oriented partner leaders.
What You Will Be Doing:
Identify, recruit, enable and manage OEM and MSP partners to support business goals and to execute partner sales strategies specific to the East region and US Federal business
Negotiate and close new OEM and MSP contracts
Drive consistent and predictable OEM and MSP channel bookings through joint business planning and ongoing enablement of these partners
Work closely with our direct sales teams to identify, qualify and onboard the right OEM and MSP partners, as well as managing ongoing forecast metrics for these partners
Collaborate with other members of Elastic's Channels and Alliances team to contribute to the overall channel strategy and prioritization plan for coverage area
What You Bring to Elastic:
Energetic, smart, self-directed, and passionate business development and channels professional
Experience recruiting, enabling, and leading a network of OEM and MSP partners
Expertise in building channel networks from the ground up
Demonstrated success growing the impact of channel results through increased lead growth and bookings growth
Experience negotiating and closing OEM and MSP channel agreements
Understanding of analytics, search, or big data markets/products and the ability to learn quickly
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
