Atrium Health Coordinator Physician Development - Atrium Health Musculoskeletal Institute in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Summary

Responsible for the development, planning, coordination, and evaluation of a comprehensive development program. The mission of the program is to support and enhance the expertise and skills of staff in the areas of teaching, practicing medicine, research, and leadership. The program provides resources, continuing education offerings, and personal consultations to foster leadership, enhance effectiveness, and improve overall leadership within the healthcare environment.

Essential Functions

  • Analyzes data to track performance. Identifies trends and areas for improvement and reports progress to committees and department leaders.

  • Facilitates classes and education offerings on Customer Service for internal teams, committees and team members as assigned.

  • Coordinates development of online offerings and on-demand development session, in collaboration with the appropriate system partners.

  • Monitors and facilitates awards and recognition programs.

  • Serves as a resource to staff to inform them on available offerings, resources, and expertise across departments and throughout the System.

  • Collects and analyzes on-going evaluation data to measure effectiveness.

  • Monitors and benchmarks trends in facility service recovery programs.

  • Maintains program files, keep accurate records, and completes reports as necessary.

Physical Requirements

Works in a busy office environment. Frequent contact with various academic health professionals and students. Requires long periods of sitting and operating keyboard. Occasional lifting and walking on campus. Responsible to work in a safe manner. Occasional travel required to relevant regional and national meetings. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.

Education, Experience and Certifications

Master’s Degree required with emphasis in Education or closely related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in adult or medical education preferred. Must exhibit professional attitude and appearance and work well as a team player. Experience coordinating medical education programs and developing e-learning strongly preferred.
