Ally Compliance Manager - Deposits in Charlotte, North Carolina

The Opportunity Support and enhance compliance program by working with the Deposits organizations to mitigate compliance risks. Assist the Deposits business partners to ensure that new or enhanced product/service initiatives and supporting operations are planned and executed in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures. With the increase in Deposit Digital initiatives this role will participate in joint governance reviews and forums between the Deposits and Digital teams. The Work Itself * Candidate will have responsibility for supporting and enhancing the compliance program for the Deposits functions. * Provide oversight for Deposits Digital change initiatives to help identify risks that could have downstream regulatory impacts. * Support Deposit projects to ensure any compliance risks or issues are identified and mitigation strategies are implemented. * Bridge any potential gaps between activities occurring in the business line and channels that support the business line. * Review digital and marketing materials and provide constructive feedback. * Work with business partners to determine appropriate monitoring and reporting routines. * Candidate will assist in supporting and gathering documentation for examinations that have a Deposits focus. * Assist Deposits business partners in determining regulatory risk and effectively communicate these risks both vertically and laterally to ensure all levels of management understand the risks posed by regulatory requirements. * Partner with Legal Department in assessing and quantifying regulatory risks and in explaining/communicating these risks to the business partners. * Ensure day-to-day operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements and the organization's policy. * Maintain documentation to provide requested information to regulatory agencies, and keep management informed of problems. * Assist manager and advise other Compliance staff on routine or technical Deposit compliance issues. * Working knowledge of applicable federal and state compliance regulations. * Miscellaneous duties as assigned. The Skills You Bring * Education level: Minimum - Bachelors' degree in business or related major * Total years and type of prior related experience: 5-7 years in regulatory compliance preferred. * Certifications or special training needed: CRCM or equivalent certification preferred, but not required. * Candidate should have a thorough knowledge (Subject Matter Expertise/Expert, SME) of regulations that directly impact deposit products and/or electronic delivery channels, including, but not limited to: * Truth in Savings, Regulation DD * Electronic Fund Transfers, Regulation E * Availability of Funds, Regulation CC * Reserve Requirements of Depository Institutions, Regulation D * CAN-SPAM * Broad working knowledge of advertising regulations and related guidance How We’ll Have Your Back Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
