Risk and Finance Technology

As part of Wells Fargo’s continuing efforts to apply a One Wells Fargo approach to delivering on our commitment to our clients and enhancing our risk management, the company’s critical enterprise initiatives will be centrally coordinated managed to achieve business outcomes. Risk and Finance Technology Management Integration Office helps drive critical business and risk and finance initiatives. The current focus of the team is as follows:

Enterprise Initiative- Working closely with multiple lines of business, the Technology leader is tasked with aligning Technology to deliver the business capability in support of meeting the emerging regulatory and business growth initiatives across the Wells Fargo foot print. Remediation Initiatives – deliver all near-term and long-term remediation commitments through quantifiable, risk based solutions and implementation of mitigating controls

The Technology partner with the accountable enterprise program sponsors and teams across Technology, Enterprise Information Security and enterprise partners (Corporate Treasury, Independent Risk, Audit, Corp Staff and LOBs) to ensure our enterprise initiatives are collaborative, coordinated, and align to our One Wells Fargo principles.

The* Business Initiative Consultant* will play a critical role in Technology partnering with the key business, risk and Technology leaders to drive all activities, including strategy, planning, and implementation of key deliverables. They will provide thought leadership and expertise to distill complex issues into targeted solutions to accelerate the work, with a clear focus on both near-term business outcomes and long-term sustainability. They will further support the Initiative Leaders by ensuring alignment to the business to provide a consistent structure, processes and management routines.

Reporting directly to the CIO Leadership, the technology leader will be responsible for delivering results through direct reports, matrix management or contractor/vendor management, as applicable. The technology initiatives leaders will be 100% accountable for all technology commitments and the leader will have shared accountability for ensuring solutions are designed, integrated and controlled to improve effectiveness, deliver business value, create efficiencies and deliver on all timelines.

Position Responsibilities:

The technology leader who must work well with ambiguity in a rapid-paced environment. Superior relationship building skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization is crucial. Responsibilities include:

  • Play a key role in formulating and executing the overall strategy for key program initiatives and develop plans and work programs, timelines, risk assessments, and other planning documents

  • Inform, influence, and create planning for long-range and fundamental retooling of perspective, approach, culture, quality, relationships, operations, and/or capabilities

  • Establish strong relationships with Initiative leaders, internal and external partners, and senior executives across business units to establish enterprise objectives and gain organizational alignment

  • Assist in driving daily progress of engagement work and informing technology leadership of initiative status

  • Leverage knowledge of the current IT environment and IT best practices to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the impact and use of technology and resources

  • Demonstrated technology depth in services development and implementation

  • Agile Development, Cloud Implementation and Global Delivery Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

  • 7+ years of financial services experience

  • 3 + years of experience creating and implementing strategic plans and roadmaps at the executive level for enterprise wide business initiatives

  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time

  • Ability to travel domestically
