Ally Auditor II - Risk Management in Charlotte, North Carolina

The Opportunity The Auditor II is primarily responsible for executing internal audit activities (assurance, advisory, and continuous monitoring), related to Ally's enterprise risk management activities and functions. This role plays a key role in executing assigned projects and demonstrating skills in assessing process risks, detailing business process understanding, identifying and evaluating the design and efficiency of controls, and executing and documenting audit testing. Work in a dynamic and team focused environment to complete assignments in accordance with audit methodology, auditing standards, and defined plans, budgets, and schedules. The Work Itself * Support internal audit execution activities (as a supervised team-member), including development and execution of tests of controls and validation/substantive tests of details and data analytics, analyze business process and internal control documentation, and documentation of testing results and findings. * Complete issue validation testing. * Develop an understanding of Ally's audit approach, methodology and tools/technology. * Assist with identification of risks and development of audit scope/strategy. * Maintain regular communication with Ally Audit Management and participate in meetings and interact with Business Unit and/or Enterprise Function management. * Build and maintain proactive working relationships with personnel across Ally. * Provide guidance and leadership to Auditor Is. * Perform ad hoc projects as assigned to assist Audit in analyzing Ally's risk and control environment. * Participate in Audit department critical initiatives * Respect the confidentiality of the Ally workplace, its clients, and employees The Skills You Bring * Bachelors (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field of study * 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial services, banking industry, and/or internal or external audit. * Industry certification preferred (CPA, CIA, CRMA, etc.) * Prior risk management experience preferred * Detail-oriented, deadline driven, proactive, self-directed and organized individual * Strong written and verbal communications skills * Proven ability to excel in highly interactive team environment * Familiarity with risk and control concepts * Strong critical thinking and analytical skills * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) * Experience with analytical tools (ACL, IDEA, SAS, Tableau, Power BI, Python) a plus. * Some travel (<10%) may be required How We’ll Have Your Back Ally's compensation program offers market-competitive base pay and pay-for-performance incentives (bonuses) based on achieving personal and company goals.
