Atrium Health APP - Neurogastroenterology and Motility Team in Charlotte, North Carolina

Position Overview: Advanced Practice Practitioner (PA or NP)

Division: Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition

Location: Atrium Health Levine Children's, Charlotte, NC

Focus: Neurogastroenterology and Motility Team

About Us:

  • Join our rapidly growing gastroenterology team with a focus on the motility program, the largest in the Carolinas.

  • Collaborate with our gastroenterology team and work closely with three physicians and three nurse specialists dedicated to managing motility and functional GI disorders.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient care in general gastroenterology, specializing in motility, functional GI, and aerodigestive disorders

  • Participate in our aerodigestive diseases program and IB Stim device placements.

Clinical Environment:

  • Utilize personalized clinic templates to ensure continuity and education for chronic patients.

  • Work alongside a supportive team of 14 physicians, 7 APPs, registered dietitians, pediatric psychologists, and clinical social workers.

Research and Quality Improvement Opportunities:

  • Optional involvement in research initiatives led by our dedicated research coordinator and data scientist.

  • Engage in Quality Improvement projects through the Department of Pediatrics.

Facilities and Location:

  • Based at Levine Children's Specialty Center, with multiple satellite offices in the Charlotte region.

  • Access comprehensive pediatric digestive services at a top-ranked program per US News & World Report.

Mentorship and Support:

  • Receive guidance from experienced GI APPs and supportive supervising physicians.

Qualifications:

  • Certified PA or NP with experience in pediatrics is preferred.

  • Ability to practice efficiently in the outpatient setting
